Considering the challenges faced by the Palestinian people due to occupation and aggression, COMSTECH initiated a special program to provide research fellowships, technicians training, and workshop participation grants for Palestinian students.
Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General of COMSTECH, shared that out of 500 scholarships, 370 were pledged by 24 member institutions of APSUP, while the remaining 130 were offered by public sector universities of the COMSTECH Consortium of Excellence.
Among the APSUP member universities, 22 private sector institutions pledged 370 scholarships, including Superior University Lahore, University of Lahore, Iqra University Karachi, and many more. On the other hand, thirteen public sector higher education and research institutions, such as the University of Karachi and Quaid e Azam University Islamabad, offered 130 scholarships.
